Cookie Policy
Effective Date: April 27, 2026
Last updated: April 27, 2026
This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how Xploreum, Inc. ("Xploreum," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Xploreum website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and improve your experience over repeated visits. We also use related technologies on the Platform, including local storage, session storage, web beacons or pixels, and software development kit (SDK) identifiers in our mobile applications. For convenience, we refer to all of these as "Cookies" in this Policy.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
2.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These Cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They enable core features such as account authentication, session management, security, fraud prevention, and load balancing. The Platform cannot operate properly without them, and they cannot be disabled.
2.2. Functional Cookies
These Cookies remember choices you make on the Platform — such as language, units of measurement, recently viewed Xpeditions, or interface preferences — to provide a more personalized experience.
2.3. Analytics Cookies
These Cookies help us understand how Xplorers and Thrillmasters use the Platform, which features are most engaging, and where users encounter friction. We use providers including Vercel Analytics and similar tools. Data collected by these Cookies is generally aggregated and used to improve the Platform.
2.4. Marketing Cookies
If you arrive at the Platform from an advertisement, referral, or partner link, we may set Cookies to attribute the visit and measure campaign performance. We do not currently use third-party advertising Cookies for cross-site behavioral tracking.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some Cookies on the Platform are set by third parties we work with, including:
- Payment processors (e.g., Stripe) for fraud prevention and transaction security
- Analytics providers
- Authentication providers (where you sign in via Apple, Google, or similar services)
These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we link to in our Privacy Policy where applicable.
4. Your Choices
4.1. Consent
Where required by law (including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and certain U.S. states), we present a consent banner that allows you to accept, reject, or customize non-essential Cookies before they are set.
4.2. Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to manage Cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting Cookies. Note that disabling Cookies may impair certain Platform features, particularly those that rely on Strictly Necessary Cookies (such as login).
4.3. Mobile Devices
You can reset or limit your advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) through your device settings.
4.4. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals, which lack a uniform industry standard. We honor recognized signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) where applicable law requires.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where required, request renewed consent.
